You can link your Acorns Checking account to Venmo or Zelle using either your account and routing numbers or by using your Acorns Visa™ debit card information.
Linking your account to Venmo
Please follow these steps to link your Acorns Checking account to your Venmo account:
- Sign in to your account
- Go to your settings
- Tap 'Payment Methods'
- Tap 'Add a bank or card'
- Tap 'Checking'
- Tap 'Manual Verification'
- Add your Acorns Checking routing and account numbers in the fields. To find your Acorns Checking account and routing information, please go here
Verifying your Acorns Checking account in Venmo
Once you link your Acorns Checking through your account and routing numbers, Venmo will send two test deposits to your Acorns Checking account that you should see within 1-3 business days. To verify those, follow these steps:
- Once you receive those test deposits, sign back into your Venmo account
- Go to your Settings then tap Payment Methods
- Tap on your Acorns Checking account
- Tap 'Verify'
- Enter the two amounts that you received
- Tap 'Verify'
After completing those steps, your Acorns Checking account should be linked and verified with your Venmo account.

Linking your account to Zelle
Acorns Checking is not compatible with Zelle at this point in time. We apologize for any inconvenience.
