All transactions into or out of an Acorns account have varying processing timeframes. You can track any pending deposit, transfer, or withdrawal by either:

  1. Navigating to the Home screen of your app and clicking on the pending transfers pill button (looks like a clock with a number next to it) in the top middle of the screen.
  2. Reviewing the Recent Activity section of the specific Acorns account. Below you will find information about those processing times based on the specific Acorns account.

Deposits/Contributions into Acorns Invest, Later, and Early

Invest Account Deposit Processing Time - All buy orders (i.e. deposit requests) placed before 5pm PST should be invested the next business day. It takes 2-3 business days for these investments to fully process and reflect on your account. This window is provided to accommodate processing times for bank transfers, as well as the time it takes for Acorns to purchase shares on your behalf. You can find more detailed information here.

Later/Early Account Contribution Processing Time - Due to the nature of these account types, we provide a 5-7 business day window for contributions into Acorns Later and Early to process and be complete. The reason is we have to accommodate processing times for bank transfers, and the time it takes to purchase your shares and invest your contributions. You can find more information about those accounts by viewing our Investing with Acorns FAQ pages.

Withdrawals from Acorns Invest, Later, and Early

Please note that withdrawals are subject to regulatory requirements and bank processing times. Sell orders (i.e. withdrawal requests) placed before 11am PST on a market day typically will be processed the same day. If your request was made after 11am PST on a market day, Acorns will typically sell shares the following market day. It can take 3-6 business days for withdrawals to fully reflect on your linked checking account. This time period accommodates withdrawal and bank processing timelines as well as bank policies. For more information about withdrawal processing time go here.

Transfers In or Out of Acorns Checking

Since Acorns Checking is a checking account (rather than an Investment account such as Invest, Later, and Early) the processing time will be different. Moving money in and out of Acorns Checking to your linked checking account is known as an ACH (automated clearing house) transaction. ACH transactions occur within 1-3 business days whether in or out of your Acorns Checking account

Note: During the first 60 days of having an Acorns Checking account, your one-time and recurring ACH transfers into Acorns Checking may take between 3-5 business days to process. After 60 days have passed, the processing time will shorten to 1-3 business days.
