How does linking my direct deposit through my payroll provider work?

When setting up direct deposit for your Acorns Checking account, , you’ll need to search for your employer or payroll provider and login with the credentials they give you. 

If your employer allows for different paycheck allocations, you’ll see the option to deposit your entire paycheck or a portion of your paycheck every time you get paid.

Direct deposit is made possible with our partner Pinwheel. When setting up direct deposit, your Acorns Checking account and routing number will be shared with Pinwheel.

Here's how to set up your Direct Deposit:

From your Acorns app or acorns.com:

  1. Log in to Acorns and tap or click “Checking”
  2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner
  3. Click "Set up direct deposit" and confirm your selection
  4. Follow the prompts to set up direct deposit
