Do I have to contact Customer Support or request a new Acorns debit card if it's about to expire?

No need to contact Customer Support! Most expiring cards will automatically be reissued as long as you’ve used the card within the past 90 days.

If you haven't used your Acorns debit card in the last 90 days, you will need to request a new card from your Acorns account. If you don’t request a new debit card, your Acorns Checking account will be closed at the end of the expiration month. Here's how to request a replacement:

From your Acorns app:

  1. Log in to Acorns and tap “Checking”
  2. Tap the gear icon in the upper right corner
  3. Tap “Replace card”
  4. Follow the prompts to request a new card

From acorns.com:

Heads up –  some iOS users can add your debit card to your digital wallet once your Acorns Checking account is approved and money is added! With your Acorns Visa™ digital debit card, you'll have immediate access to your money in your checking account, even before your physical card arrives. Keep an eye on your app to see if you have access! For Android users, don’t worry—digital cards will be coming your way soon.
