The Potential tool illustrates, hypothetically, how factors such as your current balance, your Recurring Investments, Round-Ups® investments [assuming an average of $32 Round-Ups® investments per month, if turned on], Paycheck split settings, and various rates of return will impact the long-term value of your Acorns Invest and Later accounts.
To view the new Potential screen on iOS, please complete the following steps:
- Log in to your Acorns account
- Select "View Potential" on your Home screen
- Select "Invest" ('Hypothetical Invest projection of $X at age Y') to toggle between Invest and Later if you have both Acorns Invest and Acorns Later to view your potential for both accounts
To view the new Potential screen on Android/Web, please complete the following steps:
- Log in to your Acorns account
- Select "View Potential" on your Home screen

Select "Invest" ('Hypothetical Invest projection of $X at age Y') to toggle between Invest and Later if you have both Acorns Invest and Acorns Later to view your potential for both accounts
The potential amount at the top of the screen will default to 30 years in the future. You can interact with the potential screen by using the slider and moving it across the graph to view your hypothetical potential Acorns Invest or Later balance at any age in the future.
To change your potential, please complete the following steps on iOS:
- Log in to your Acorns account
- Select "View Potential" on your Home screen

Select the "Recurring" tile and update your Recurring settings
- Or Select the "Round-Ups®" tile and update your Round-Ups® settings
- Or Select the "Paycheck split" tile and update your Paycheck split settings
- View how your potential changes in the Potential graph.
To change your potential, please complete the following steps on Android/Web:
- Log in to your Acorns account
- Select "View Potential" on your Home screen

- Or Select the "Round-Ups®" tile and update your Round-Ups® settings
- Or Select the "Paycheck split" tile and update your Paycheck split settings
- View how your potential changes in the Potential graph.
Please note, that the Potential graph is not based on actual client account or Acorns portfolio performance, as this will be affected by market fluctuations and volatility, changes in your Recurring or Round-Ups® investments, Paycheck split settings, withdrawals, any additional investments, time horizon, rate of return, and fees.
