How do promo codes work?

Acorns offers unique promo codes through some of your favorite media — TV shows, YouTube videos, podcasts, and more! Signing up with a valid promo code earns you a bonus in your Invest account. You'll receive an email notification once the bonus is added.

How to add a promo code

Signing up with a promo code you heard or saw? Tap "Have a promo code?" and enter the code.

Signing up through an ad? The code is usually applied automatically. If you need to change the promo code you can tap “Change promo code” and add it manually.

Common issues

Did you get an error message? You might have used a referral code (not a promo code), or entered the promo code incorrectly. Double-check the spelling and expiration date. You can learn more about our referral program here.

Did you forget to add the code at sign up? If you haven't completed registration, you can start over to enter the promo code. You cannot add a promo code retroactively after completing registration.

Did you try to combine promo codes? You can only use one promo code at a time. They cannot be combined with other promo or referral codes.
