Can I change the age of transfer for my Early Invest account?

Thanks for investing in the next generation with Acorns Early Invest! Once you enter the child’s name, date of birth, and social security number (SSN), you cannot change the age of transfer. 

The applicable gifting to minors laws mandate that the age of transfer is set as soon as the investment account is opened. 

If you have not added the child’s SSN, you can delete the account and start again. 

To delete the Early Invest account, please follow these steps on the mobile app:

1. Log into your Acorns account
2. Select "Early Invest" on the Home screen or the child’s name you would like to remover
3. Select "Remove child" and confirm

Then, you can easily restart registration by selecting “Activate” under Early on your home screen.
