How is my Acorns Later portfolio selected?

Your portfolio is selected based on your age and the time until you reach retirement age. Although you can take penalty-free withdrawals from your IRA account at age 59 ½, the IRS considers full retirement age for anyone born 1960 or later to be 67 years old. Over time, this calculation naturally changes, so we automatically rebalance your investments. For example, as you grow closer to 59 ½ years old, so potentially closer to accessing your IRA funds, we look to more conservative investments. In other words, once you sign up for Acorns Later, we look after your money, adjusting as needed — all in the background of life!
