Our mission is to look after the financial best interests of the up-and-coming. While Acorns can’t guarantee the performance of the stock market, there are some things that are certain.

When you invest with Acorns, your money is invested into an Acorns investment portfolio. A brief explanation of the investing process is available on the “how long does it take to invest money” page. You can also view how your investments are performing at any time in the “Account Value” section of the mobile app or web app.

Securities in your investment accounts are SIPC-protected up to $500,000. Find out more about SIPC Protection.

Your checking account, Acorns Checking, is FDIC-insured up to $250,000.

You can withdraw available funds and/or close your Acorns account at any time. Withdrawals may take 3-6 business days. For a more detailed explanation, see the “how long does it take to withdraw money” page.

Lastly, Acorns does not store your bank login information on its servers. However, some of your personal information is necessary to begin investing. For instance, your social security number must be collected to meet regulatory requirements.

If you have more questions about security, please view our privacy policy or send us a message.
