The Round-Ups® Multiplier is a handy way to increase the amount you're investing from your spare change.

When you toggle on the Round-Ups® Multiplier, your Round-Ups® will be multiplied by the selected amount (2x, 3x, or 10x).

For example, if you make a purchase of $4.30, you’d get a $0.70 Round-Up®. With a 2x Multiplier on, you’d see a $1.20 Round-Up® instead.

All these boosted Round-Ups® can really add up — Acorns customers have invested an average of $627 in spare change. Check out your Potential screen in your Acorns app to see how your spare change could grow over time.

Important information about your linked accounts

Round-Ups® can be a great way to invest your spare change in the background of life, but it's important to make sure you have enough money in your linked accounts to cover your investing.

With Round-Ups®, we keep track of all the spare change from your rounded-up purchases, and once it adds up to at least $5, we'll transfer it from your linked checking account into your Invest account for you. But if you don't keep enough money in your checking account, you could incur overdraft fees with your bank.

If this is something you're concerned about, you could consider turning off automatic Round-Ups® and reviewing them manually instead. Here's more information on the difference between automatic and manual Round-Ups®.
