The "MFA Reset" message is your bank’s way of letting us know that they need to refresh your login information. Every bank has different rules for how often they need your login information refreshed. This can happen as a result of bank protocols or changes.

Refreshing your bank’s login information is easy to do through your Acorns app or online at acorns.com. First, log in to your bank account from a desktop or laptop computer to make sure you can access your bank account and to double check there are no actions required of you by your bank.

After logging in to your online bank account, you can log in to your Acorns account and follow these steps to link your account to Round-Ups®:

From your Acorns app:

  1. Tap the profile icon in the top left corner
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Tap "Linked Accounts"
  4. Tap "Link another account "
  5. Search for your bank and connect using your online banking credentials

From acorns.com:

  1. Click on "Profile & Settings" in the bottom left corner
  2. Under "Personal Settings," click "Linked Accounts"
  3. Click "Link another account"
  4. Search for your bank and connect using your online banking credentials
