Why is my banking username or password coming back as incorrect?

We’re here to help! This message typically indicates that the login credentials provided were incorrect. This message can also be your bank’s way of letting us know that something went wrong.

To troubleshoot the issue, please log in directly to your bank's website from a desktop or laptop computer to verify that there are no sign-in issues.

​​After successfully logging into your bank's website, follow these steps:. 

  1. Open a new tab or window on a desktop or laptop and log into your Acorns account
  2. Click on "Profile & Settings" in the lower-left corner of the screen
  3. Under "Personal Settings," click on "Linked Accounts"
  4. Click on "Link another account"
  5. Search for your bank and connect using your banking credentials
