We'll walk you through how to set up your card PIN when you activate your card. Be sure to keep this PIN safe and secure — it's generally a good idea to choose a random set of numbers you haven't used before, and avoid writing it down or telling anyone else what it is.
You can update your PIN any time — here's how:
- Log in to your account from your Acorns app or acorns.com
- From your home screen, tap or click "Checking"
- Tap or click the gear icon in the upper right corner
- Tap or click "Update card PIN"
This screen will ask you to enter your new PIN. Make sure you enter a completely new PIN here — you won't be asked for your previous PIN.
Heads up — once you've entered your new PIN, it may take up to 12am Central Time for the new PIN to be set. That means you may not be able to use your card for a few hours.
