In order to keep your Acorns accounts safe, you may be required to verify ownership of your linked checking account. Acorns does this by depositing two small transactions into your linked checking account, each less than $1. These two deposits can be verified by logging into your Acorns account and selecting Verify Now. From there, simply follow the prompts!
To identify your two deposits:
- Log into your online bank account
- Identify deposits in your checking account titled “Acorns Investing CO ENTRY”
- Select the in-app alert “Verify Now”
- Review bank linking progress status
- Select “Verify Deposits” once available
- Enter the amounts sent to you to complete verification.
You will have three chances to enter the verification amounts. If you encounter difficulties verifying the deposits, select “Resend verification deposits” to try again. Once you've successfully verified these deposits, you'll be able to request fund withdrawals without any issues.

|Bank linking initiated||Acorns has sent two separate deposits.|
|Deposits Arrived||Provides the date deposits arrived to determine amounts.|
|Verify Deposits||You can now confirm the deposit amounts|
|Verification failed||Too many attempts, either resend or contact support.|
Note: These amounts are typically sent 1-3 business days after your first investment has been initiated. Click here for more info on how to make your initial investment.
Please note you can only resend the verification deposits a maximum of two times. If there are too many failed attempts when verifying these deposits, you may see a message stating that your Acorns account is locked. If this happens, please contact our Support team to help unlock and verify your account!
