You can pause your transfers easily through your Acorns app.
For Mobile:

After logging in to your account, tap the menu (avatar) in the upper left corner of the screen

Tap "Settings"

Tap "Linked accounts"

Toggle the "Allow Transfers" button to off

Confirm your selection in the dialogue box
For Web:

After logging in to your account, click on the menu (avatar) in the upper right corner of the screen

Click on "Profile & Settings"

Click on "Linked accounts"

Toggle the "Allow Transfers" button located under the Funding Source section to off

Confirm your selection in the dialogue box that will appear
When you are ready to start your transfers again, just toggle "Allow Transfers" to on.
Please keep in mind that this will not cancel transactions already in progress and that Recurring Investments and automatic features may be re-initiated when you resume investments.
Additionally, pausing transfers does not prevent the monthly subscription from being billed.
