The Desktop Safari Extension will allow you to use the Acorns Earn Extension tool on your desktop Safari Browser.

The Earn Desktop Safari Extension can only be used on a Mac desktop, using the Safari browser and can be downloaded in the Mac App Store page or by being sent to the Desktop Safari Extension Mac App Store page via:

  • Email communication sent out
  • In-app promotions.
  • Acorns website

Once on the Mac App Store page, click the “Get” option.

  1. Log in with your Apple ID.
  2. The “Get” option will change to “Install”, click the “Install” option.
  3. Once installed, the “Install” CTA will change to “Open”, click the “Open” CTA.

Once downloaded, click the Safari Settings page, to be taken to the Safari Settings page to sign into your Acorns account.

  1. To complete the install of the Desktop Safari Extension, click the checkbox next to the Acorns Extension and enable the “Always Allow on Every Website” permission.
  2. Once the settings are completed, a new Safari tab will open to prompt you to login to the Desktop Safari Extension using your Acorns credentials.
  3. Once logged in, the Desktop Safari Extension will pop up an Eligible Merchant Alert on any website where an Earn offer is available.

The Eligible Merchant Alert will contain information on the offer:

  • Reward amount
  • Instructions on how to redeem
  • Terms and Conditions
  • Activate Offer CTA

Clicking the “Activate Offer” option will ensure that you have activated the offer and will earn a bonus investment on any eligible purchases.

  1. After a purchase has been made, you will be notified that a pending reward has been created for the purchase.
  2. This notification will typically be sent in 1-3 business days.
  3. The pending reward will be invested into your account once the reward has reached 90 days after the purchase date or sooner.

To uninstall the Desktop Safari Extension, customers must open up Safari > Settings > Extensions > Uninstall Acorns Extensions.
