How do I get a Later Match?

We’re glad you asked! With Later Match, we add money to your Acorns Later IRA automatically, based on your contribution and subscription plan. Learn how it works here.

To be eligible for Later Match, you just need to be in our Silver or Gold subscription plans, and make contributions to your Acorns Later IRA. 

To activate Later Match, follow these steps:

1. Log into your Acorns account
2. Tap on "Later"
3. Scroll down to “We’ll put our money into your future”
4. Tap on "Learn more"
5. Tap on "Activate"
6. Read and accept the Later Match Agreement 
7. Tap “Continue”
8. Tap “Done”

All contributions must be successfully invested in your Acorns Later retirement account to qualify for the Later Match. Once your contribution has been successfully invested and settled, which typically takes 5-7 business days, the match amount will be applied automatically in your Acorns Later retirement account. Note that Match amounts are subject to a 4 year holding period explained here.
