If you decide to not consent, you’ll still be able to create an Acorns account. The Social Security Administration’s eCBSV service is just one of the tools we use to help prevent fraud.

When you agree, your details are checked against the Social Security Administration records to help stop fraud. This eCBSV service helps us to confirm if someone's Social Security number, name, and birthdate match what's on file.
