How do I link my Union Bank account?

Due to the recent merger between Union Bank and U.S. Bank, Union Bank no longer supports Round-Ups® on your Acorns account. If you previously had a Round-Ups® connection with Union Bank, you will now notice an error message and will not be able to connect.

Note: Only your Round-Ups® account will be affected by this change. Union Bank will still work as a Primary Checking account for all other Acorns functions, like recurring and one-time investments.

In order to resolve this issue and establish a Round-Ups® connection with U.S. Bank, you will need to take the following steps to unlink your Round-Ups® connection with Union Bank:

Within the Acorns App:

1. Tap the menu (avatar) in the upper left corner of the screen

2. Tap "Settings"

3. Tap "Linked Accounts"

4. Tap the institution you want to unlink

5. Tap "Unlink" in the top right corner

On Acorns.com:

1. Click on the menu (avatar) in the upper right corner of the screen

2. Click on "Profile & Settings"

3. Click on "Linked Accounts"

4. Click on the institution you want to unlink

5. Click "Unlink" in the top right corner

Once your Union Bank account has been unlinked, you will no longer see an error message. From here, you will be able to add your U.S. Bank as a Round-Ups® connection by taking the following steps:

Within the Acorns App:

  1. Tap the menu (avatar) in the upper left corner of the screen

  2. Tap "Settings"

  3. Tap "Linked Accounts"

  4. Tap "Link another account"

  5. Select your bank by scrolling through the list or searching for your bank in the search box

  6. Enter your bank’s online banking credentials

On Acorns.com:

  1. Click on the menu (avatar) in the upper right corner of the screen

  2. Click on "Profile & Settings"

  3. Click on "Linked Accounts"

  4. Click on "Link another account"

  5. Search for your bank

  6. Enter your bank’s online banking credentials and click on "Submit"
