How do I link my Union Bank account?

Due to a merger between Union Bank and U.S. Bank, Union Bank no longer supports Round-Ups® on your Acorns account. If you previously had a Round-Ups® connection with Union Bank, you will now see an error message and won't be able to connect.

Note: Only your Round-Ups® account will be affected by this change. You can still link a Union Bank account as your primary checking account and can be used for recurring and one-time investments.

To resolve this, you’ll need to unlink your Round-Ups® connection with Union Bank and connect with U.S. Bank. Here's how:

From your Acorns app:

1. Tap the profile icon in the top left corner of the screen

2. Tap "Settings"

3. Tap "Linked Accounts"

4. Tap the institution you want to unlink

5. Tap "Unlink" in the top right corner

From acorns.com:

1. Click on "Profile & Settings" in the lower-left corner of the screen

2. Under"Personal Settings," click on "Linked Accounts"

4. Click on the account you want to unlink

5. Click "Unlink" in the top right corner

Once your Union Bank account has been unlinked, you will no longer see an error message and you can add your U.S. Bank as a Round-Ups® connection. Here's how:

From your Acorns app:

  1. Tap the profile icon in the upper left corner of the screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Tap "Linked Accounts"
  4. Tap "Link another account"
  5. Select your bank by scrolling through the list or searching for your bank in the search box
  6. Enter your bank’s online banking credentials

From acorns.com:

  1. Click on "Profile & Settings" in the lower-left corner of the screen
  2. Under "Personal Settings," click on "Linked Accounts"
  3. Click on "Link another account"
  4. Search for your bank
  5. Enter your bank’s online banking credentials and click on "Submit"
