Acorns Assist is our alternative subscription plan. This plan is for Acorns customers who are experiencing economic hardship but want to continue investing for their future.  Acorns Assist includes Acorns Invest, Acorns Earn, and Learn, for only $1 per month.

If you’re experiencing economic hardship, here's how to downgrade to Acorns Assist.

From your Acorns app:

  1. After logging in to your account, tap the profile icon in the top left corner of the screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Tap "My Subscription"
  4. Under the "Manage subscription" header, tap "Need another option?"
  5. Tap "Downgrade now." We'll walk you through a closure process to close any accounts that aren't available in the Assist plan
  6. Close any individual account(s) that you have open (Later, Checking, or Early)
  7. Tap "Close account" and we'll guide you through the process
  8. Once these accounts have been closed, you can tap "Switch to Acorns Assist"

From acorns.com:

  1. Click on "Profile & Settings" in the bottom left corner of the screen
  2. Click on "My Subscription"
  3. Under the "Manage subscription" header you can tap "Need another option?"
  4. Tap "Downgrade now" and you will walk through a closure process to close any accounts that aren't available in the Assist plan
  5. Close any individual account(s) that you have open (Later, Checking, or Early)
  6. Tap "Close account" and we'll guide you through the process
  7. Once these accounts have been closed, you can tap "Switch to Acorns Assist"

Rather than charge you individually for these features, we charge a subscription fee. Your subscription provides you with a curated suite of tools — and you can use all of these tools for one monthly subscription.

On occasion, we’ll increase our subscription prices to reinvest back into our company to offer you even more ways to grow your oak. These price increases also help us continue to provide you with the tools and features we've added over the past few years. Here’s more information on how Acorns works.
