To help protect your Acorns account, and ensure its security, Two-Factor Authentication is mandatory and cannot be disabled. We cannot disable Two-Factor Authentication, but we can help update your phone number or email address for Two-Factor Authentication if it has changed.
To update the contact info linked to Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), please follow the steps below:
- After logging in to your account, select the menu (avatar) in the upper corner of the screen
- Select 'Settings' or 'Profile & Settings', then select 'Personal Info'

Under Contact Info, you will see your phone and email

Select either option to begin setting up 2FA

You will then be prompted to select the 'Next' button to enter the verification process.

2FA will send a 6-digit code to your mobile device. Once you receive the code, input it into the alert in-app

Two-Factor Authentication verification is now complete! The alert next to contact info should now be "Verified"
