Are there any tax considerations I should be aware of before switching to an ESG portfolio?

Yes. When you decide to switch from a Core portfolio to an ESG portfolio, Acorns has to sell the exchange-traded funds, or ETFs, in your Core portfolio and then buy shares in the ESG ETFs.

There can be tax implications any time you sell investments.  Your tax situation is unique, you may want to consult a tax advisor or visit www.irs.gov with any questions before changing your portfolio. Acorns doesn't provide tax advice, but if you're having issues withdrawing funds or receiving an error, please contact us.
