Yes! We take your security seriously, so Acorns Checking and Acorns Early accounts are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) up to at least $250,000 per depositor, per ownership category.

Our banking partners, Lincoln Savings Bank, National Bank of Kansas City, and Community Federal Savings Bank are all FDIC members.

What does it mean to be FDIC insured? In the unlikely event of a bank failure (see film classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life”), the customers of the bank are insured up to $250,000.

For more details, check out this brochure published by the FDIC, or visit the FDIC website at www.fdic.gov.
